Manual shipping updates mean a staff member has to check tracking, write an email, and send it. This introduces delay, inconsistency, and human error. Automation sends the right email at exactly the right moment — without any manual work.
By the end of this tutorial, you'll have automated emails for:
In your TrackLogy dashboard: Store Settings → Email Notifications
Toggle on each notification trigger you want:
For each trigger, you can edit:
Available merge tags:
{{customer_name}} — recipient's first name{{tracking_number}} — the shipment tracking number{{tracking_link}} — direct link to the branded tracking page{{estimated_delivery}} — EDD from the carrier{{carrier_name}} — the carrier handling the shipmentClick Send Test Email and verify it arrives correctly and the tracking link works.
Toggle each notification to Active. From this point, all notifications go out automatically whenever TrackLogy detects the corresponding event.
Check Reports → Notification Logs to see which emails were sent, delivered, and opened. If open rates are below 30%, A/B test your subject lines.
